Organic Deo for Sweaty Armpits?

Organic products are making their mark on the mainstream market. Numerous people are now into organic beauty products because these products are not just chemical-free but most of these products are environment-friendly at the same time. A lot of Hollywood celebrities like Daryl Hannah, Cameron Diaz, Jennifer Aniston, Tom Hanks, and Cher already joined the band wagon as well.

But, is there an organic deodorant that could help stop underarm perspiration? Non-organic deodorants that are said to prevent armpit sweating contain aluminum zirconium tricholorohydrex glycine. Countless people attest that deodorants containing this ingredient actually help minimize the problem. It’s effective because this chemical temporarily blocks the pores and lessens the amount of perspiration produced on underarms. Plus, it helps eliminate the bad odor caused by sweating. Unfortunately, recent studies have linked this chemical to breast cancer and Alzheimer’s disease.

Going back to my question… is there an organic deodorant that could help stop underarm perspiration? That would depend on your body’s chemistry. But here’s the thing, most organic deodorants use ammonium alum and potassium alum which have no aluminum but are both non toxic natural mineral salts. These natural ingredients help control underarm sweating.  In addition, organic deodorants can keep you smelling nice without the aluminum-based compounds, parabens, and synthetic fragrances.

If you have tried the conventional deodorants and the organic deodorants and still cannot deal with the sweaty problem, here’s another treatment that you can try--- Underarm Excessive Sweating Surgery. It may cost a lot but it could free you from the “sticky” situation.  However, it is essential to consult licensed professionals before undergoing surgery. In the Philippines and in Palau, Dr. Almond Derla’s Clinic, LaEstetica International offers such service. You can also visit their website: http://www.LaEstetica.com.ph for more information.

Different Ways to Remove Nasty Underarms Stains

As if being seen with armpit sweat marks is not embarrassing enough, there is still the armpit stain that you have to deal with.  I recently unearthed an old red blouse that’s perfect for corporate events and discovered that it has armpit stains caused by deodorant and perspiration. The blouse exactly looks like Sarah Jessica Gellar’s top and I couldn’t wait to wear it again. Unfortunately, I have to solve my dilemma with the stains first before actually wearing the red blouse.
If you have the same problem as mine, here are a few tricks on how to get rid of those stubborn stains:

The easiest way --- liquid detergent containing oxygenated powers. Let the detergent sit for 30 minutes before washing the cloth. If the tough stain is still there, apply detergent on the affected area, expose the cloth under the sun and keep it damp. Wash the cloth after several hours of sun exposure.

Most of us are likely to use bleach to remove the stain for white fabric. However, chlorine and perspiration could actually lead to darken the stain even more. Use hydrogen peroxide instead. Soak the affected area in hydrogen peroxide for at least 30 minutes before washing the cloth with detergent. Remember, this is effective only for white fabrics. Don’t do this in your colored clothes if you don’t want them ruined!

Instead of hydrogen peroxide, try using 1 tbsp white vinegar and ½ cup of water to remove armpit sweat stains for colored clothes. Soak the cloth in the vinegar mixture for 20-30 minutes before washing it with detergent.

1 tbsp Cream of tartar, 3 crushed aspirin, and a cup of warm water could probably do the job for ultra stubborn armpit sweat stains. Just make a paste out of the mixture, brush the paste on the stains and leave it for 20 minutes.  Rinse with warm water after. Repeat the process when necessary.

To totally eliminate the problem on armpit perspiration stain, we have to put an end to armpit perspiration.   Easier said than done, I know. But if you have heard about underarm excessive sweating surgery, you’ll realize that it’s easy to permanently solve armpit sweating.  Ask your dermatologist about it to know more about the treatment.
